Our program offers a language and print-rich environment for emergent literacy skills. Children learn problem solving skills as they are presented with challenging situations. They learn independence through the exploration of quality materials.
In a positive, age appropriate Judaic setting, our Judaic program is seamlessly integrated into all themes, with an emphasis on Jewish values and the celebration of holidays.
The Gordon School at Beth David congregation was an integral part of our girls becoming the young Jewish women that they are today. The school’s warm and nurturing environment coupled with academic excellence provided them with a strong foundation. Their love of Judaism and tradition is a direct result of their elementary school years. Thank you to the Gordon School for helping us to raise intelligent, strong, confident caring young women - we are so grateful.
The Gordon School will always hold a special place in my heart. My girls were nurtured, empowered and carefully guided by loving teachers, school leaders and Rabbi Julie to become confident, bright and compassionate good citizens. I couldn’t have asked for a better elementary school experience for them.
Beth David has always played a central role in my life. My time as a student at the Gordon School from 18 months through 5th grade provided the foundation for my Jewish identity, and prepared me for a seamless transition into the rigors of middle school. I am very grateful for the lifelong friendships I made at the Gordon School. It was an amazing full-circle experience for me to have the privilege to teach in the Early Childhood Center.
For more than 12 years, the Gordon School has been a second home for our children. The teachers are remarkable. They inspire our students to become confident, passionate, life-long learners. Rabbi Jacobs is a leader who lights up our classrooms and our whole community with her energy, her goodness, and her wisdom. The Gordon School is truly a jewel in the heart of Miami – there’s no place like it.
I am a proud member of the 2007 graduating class of The Gordon School and I am currently a junior at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. I attended Ransom Everglades for middle school and high school, and I can firmly say that The Gordon School adequately prepared me for the challenges that lay ahead.
The Gordon School instilled in me a pride for being Jewish and a subsequent love of Jewish learning. As a college student, I understand the importance of keeping my Jewish faith. I can honestly say that my relationship with Judaism has been and will forever continue to be stronger thanks to The Gordon School of Beth David, its wonderful education and its amazing congregation!
