Three divisions, one community.
Gordon School’s educational philosophy is grounded in play, inquiry, and Jewish values which embrace the belief that children learn best when they are actively engaged in meaningful experiences that honor their natural curiosity and foster a sense of wonder. In this approach, play is the cornerstone of learning, providing children with opportunities to explore, create, and discover their world in a hands-on and authentic manner. Through open-ended play experiences, children develop critical thinking skills, problem-solving abilities, and social-emotional competencies, all while nurturing their unique interests and talents.
Jewish values and traditions serve as the guiding principles for moral and ethical development, weaving a rich tapestry of cultural heritage into the educational fabric. From celebrating Jewish holidays and rituals to embodying concepts of kindness, compassion, and social responsibility, children are immersed in a nurturing environment that cultivates a strong sense of identity, belonging, and community. By integrating play, inquiry, and Jewish values, this educational philosophy empowers children to become confident, compassionate, and socially conscious individuals who are inspired to make meaningful contributions to both their local and global communities.
