Early Childhood Center

3 Months - Pre K

The Early Childhood Center (ECC) provides unique opportunities for emotional, social, creative, physical and cognitive development of each child within a Jewish environment. A warm, loving atmosphere permeates the center. We embrace the entire family as the children embark on their first educational journey from 3 months through Pre-Kindergarten.

Trained professionals celebrate the uniqueness of each child and facilitate opportunities for learning through hands-on activities. We provide each child with a safe and nurturing environment that will meet the developmental stages of each child through a wide variety of activities that will facilitate the construction of knowledge.

Our program offers a language and print-rich environment for emergent literacy skills. Children learn problem solving skills as they are presented with challenging situations. They learn independence through the exploration of quality materials. In a positive, age appropriate setting, our Judaic program is seamlessly integrated into all themes, with an emphasis on Jewish values and the celebration of holidays.

Infants

This program provides an invaluable social and loving experience for children ages 3 months to 15 months. Emphasis is placed on the development and expansion of reaching infant milestones, sensory experiences, exploration of environment, social and motor skills and language development through creative arts activities, music, dancing, outdoor play, cooking, Judaic programs and more.

Playgroup

This program provides an initial group social experience for children ages 12 months to 2 years. Emphasis is placed on the development and expansion of social and motor skills and language development through creative arts activities, music, dancing, outdoor play, sensory activities, cooking, Judaic programs and more.

Three Year Olds

This program includes both a thematic and emergent curriculum approach, and is developmentally appropriate to meet the individual needs of each child. Children acquire hands-on experiences in early literacy, creative arts, music, science, cooking, and learning Hebrew blessings and songs.

Two Year Olds

This program includes hands-on, developmentally appropriate activities and lessons, offered through both a thematic and emergent curriculum approach. Additional activities include rhyming, counting and color games, music, dancing, outdoor play, science explorations, cooking, and creating keepsakes based on Jewish traditions and holiday celebrations

Pre-K

This program nurtures the children’s love for learning, social skills and their interest in exploring the world around them. Developmentally appropriate activities encourage the deepening of children’s cognitive skills, especially literacy and numeracy development. Pre-Kindergarten children enjoy an introduction to Hebrew using puppets, games, stories, and music. Other special projects include science, cooking, group games, library, music, and outdoor physical activities.

Spanish Immersion

Children have the opportunities to practice language individually and in small groups after initial assessment of fluency

  • Participate and engage in Spanish literacy activities: through books, story-telling, songs, conversations in context.

  • Scaffold communication by combining words in Spanish with body gesture or visual cues in order to increase Spanish language acquisition.

  • Our physical environment creates learning spaces that can support the goals. Pre-K students have spaces and materials to build, create, collaborate, discuss, and engage in the language.
