Three divisions, one community.
A specialized, inclusive program for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder
The Tikvah Center at Gordon is a specialized program designed for students ages 4–10 with Autism Spectrum Disorder, grounded in the belief that every child deserves a learning environment where they are deeply understood, supported, and challenged. Our program focuses on academic growth within a structured, nurturing, and inclusive setting, where students are supported not only in their learning, but also in their social, emotional, and behavioral development. Jewish values are woven throughout the day, helping students build a strong sense of identity, community, and belonging.

At Tikvah, no two students learn the same way — and our teaching reflects that. With a 3:1 student-to-teacher ratio (maximum of 6 students per class), our educators are able to provide highly individualized instruction tailored to each child’s strengths, needs, and learning style.
Students rotate through academic centers and often work one-on-one with teachers on reading, writing, and math. This allows us to meet each child exactly where they are and help them move forward with confidence.
Our team uses a range of evidence-based strategies to support skill development, independence, and meaningful progress.
A strong foundation in structure, routine, and clear expectations is central to the Tikvah experience. Our classrooms emphasize:
-Predictable routines
-Clear boundaries
-Positive reinforcement
-Skill-building for independence and self-regulation
These elements help students feel secure, capable, and ready to engage in a school environment.
Inclusion is a meaningful and intentional part of the Tikvah program. Students join their Day School peers for:
-Recess and lunch
-Specials (art, music, PE, STEM, and more)
-Social opportunities throughout the day
When appropriate, students may also join Day School classrooms for select core academic subjects with the support of Tikvah teachers and academic coaches.
Our goal is to create authentic opportunities for connection, growth, and confidence within a broader school community.
We value strong collaboration between school, family, and outside providers. Gordon has a well-established model that supports students receiving therapies during the school day. With the appropriate coordination, outside therapists are able to work with students on campus, and our teachers partner closely to ensure consistency and continuity of support.
Our goal is not only to build skills within the classroom, but to ensure those skills carry over into real-world settings. We focus on the generalization of:
-Academic skills
-Social communication
-Behavioral regulation
-Independence
This approach helps students grow into confident learners who can navigate a variety of environments successfully.

The Early Childhood Center (ECC) provides unique opportunities for emotional, social, creative, physical and cognitive development of each child within a Jewish environment. A warm, loving atmosphere permeates the center. We embrace the entire family as the children embark on their first educational journey from 3 months through Pre-Kindergarten.

Our highly academic offered students in Kindergarten through 6th grade an enriching learning experience. Through an integrated program of secular and Judaic studies, our curriculum combines the very highest standards of academic excellence with the rich traditions of our Jewish heritage.
